Cost

One of the first things running through many people’s minds when they are seeking representation in a matter is “How much is this going to cost me?” The answer to that is “It depends.” We know that sounds like a “typical lawyer” answer, but it’s also really truthful. Johnson | Fletcher, LLC treats each case individually and representation is based upon the unique circumstances of each matter. Remember in science class learning that no two snowflakes are exactly the same? It’s true. They may look similar to the naked eye, but put them under a microscope and you’ll see differences. That’s the way it works in the practice of law. No two DUIs, worthless check cases, misdemeanor theft cases, etc. are exactly the same. They may look similar and deal with similar issues, but there is something in each case that sets it apart from other cases of the same type.

The litigation process a case goes through before reaching resolution also varies and ultimately reflects upon the overall cost. As you can imagine, litigating a felony case through jury trial is costly. There would also be a cost difference between a case whose circumstances called for a motion to be filed, such as a motion to suppress evidence, as opposed to a case in which no such motion was applicable. At Johnson | Fletcher, LLC you will hear us say “We don’t know what we don’t know.” You’re probably thinking “Is that some kind of lawyer double talk?” It’s not and we’re not trying to pull one over on you. We don’t have a crystal ball. We wish we did because it would make things a whole lot easier, but the sad reality is we don’t so we’re going to have to continue to “old school” it.

At Johnson | Fletcher, LLC we know clients come in all different types. One may have never needed an attorney before in their life, while another used us for a divorce and then later on for a speeding ticket; some clients want to be highly involved in the entire process start to finish, while another wants to be as minimally involved as possible. Our goal at Johnson | Fletcher, LLC is for you to be comfortable in your representation.
